Nature of Business: YES Inc. provides supplementary academic assistance to help student-athletes meet New York State graduation and Regents requirements as well as meet the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA") freshman eligibility requirements. Full company name: Youth Education Through Sports, Inc. ("YES Inc.")I became an entrepreneur because I wanted to create a social enterprise that would focus on impacting the lives of student-athletes throughout the United States in pursuit of college and careers. It was very important for me to create a model that would make business sense and attract the interest of educational institutions, the sports industry and individuals as key investors in the future generations of student-athletes.
The most important lesson that I've learned is that one must be totally dedicated to his/her mission, willing to acquire the essential skills to do the job well, and put in the work required to become successful.
